Over a Decade of Experience
My Career at a Glance...
Since 2008, I have written professionally in a variety of capacities: from magazines, to blogging and freelance copywriting; from food and beverage critique to published books on wine, beer, and animals.
I have worked on a variety of ghostwriting projects in both Orlando, Florida and Washington, DC. ranging from autobiographies to cyber security, social engineering, and op-eds on Alaska's financial crisis, the oil industry, and high-risk pregnancies for under-privileged mothers in rural and urban areas.
I have covered million-dollar concierge services, environmentally friendly catering products, vegetarian companies, spa services, holistic medicine, high-end jewelry, optical biopsy machinery, dermatology, the coffee industry, and more.
As a UX Writer and Content Strategist, my approach to each project is user and reader-focused, developing personas for the target audience and ideating until I reach the correct approach for each submission.
I look forward to my next challenge.
“A writer, I think, is someone who pays attention to the world.”

Books
2015
Author/Publisher: Fancy Grape Juice
In 2015, my first book: Fancy Grape Juice: de-snootifying the World's Snootiest Beverage was published. Fancy Grape Juice provides a user-friendly introduction to wine for the complete novice and has been used by some readers to pass the level one sommelier exam. It is designed for the layman and has a casual tone.
2016
Author/Publisher/Illustrator: Artimals
In 2016, my first coloring book was published. The book is called Artimals and it contains 76 hand-drawn illustrations of various animals. Each animal comes with an accompanying page of facts, so the book is part-coloring book, part educational tool. It has been used in a number of public and Montessori classrooms throughout the years.
2017
Author/Publisher/Illustrator: Brews & Hues
In 2017, I published Brews & Hues, a hand-illustrated and vectored coloring book for adults. The book follows elves ("hop elves" made of out beer hops) as they work in their brewery, teaching the reader about beer. It describes how beer is made, brewing techniques, glassware, and flavor profiles of different beer styles. For this book, I also developed a font I called Hop Art, where the letters are made of beer hop vines.
